Product information "Brocade Half-Tied Vintage Cushion"
- We are proud to present the Lily Koi Saigon collection at Tinkalu – a rare and meaningful line of handmade and hand-dyed textiles from Northern Vietnam, created by designer Jan Mirkin-Earley. We are the exclusive stockist in Europe, with Harrods in London as the only other international partner.
- This cushion is part of the limited Brocade series, handcrafted from vintage fabrics woven on traditional home looms by Hmong women in the highlands of Sapa. These women continue an ancestral tradition of growing hemp and cotton, harvesting the plants in autumn, and hand-spinning and weaving them into distinctive tribal fabrics.
- The vintage materials used are true collector’s items – rare, culturally significant, and increasingly difficult to find as these traditional techniques fade. Jan pairs them with hand-dyed silk velvet, cotton, and linen to create works of art that honour both heritage and modern design.
- Each cushion features bold geometric patterns that suit a range of interiors – from boho and global to minimal and contemporary.
- The woven textile is tied onto a soft, stone-washed linen base with fine cotton ribbons, giving this cushion its unique "half-tied" style.
- Measuring 60 × 50 cm, it is a generous and striking accent piece – full of character, craft, and cultural storytelling.
Our Tinkalu Collection is a must for all interior fans. Lovingly handcrafted, our products are suitable for everyday use. Timeless classics in a distinctive design create unforgettable moments and bring style and luxury to everyday life. Read more

DESIGN BY NATURE
ART FROM LAVA STONE SAND
The Saigon River Factory transforms lava stone sand with resin into stunning, handmade lanterns. These lightweight but sturdy works of art create mesmerising effects that enchant with romantic light both indoors and out. Our limited edition collection is what makes these rare pieces so exclusive.
STOVE FESTIVAL
A surprise that will delight you: You can use the crockery in the oven without hesitation. As it is fired at over 1200°C, it is extremely robust and heat-resistant. We love to enchant our guests with dishes that are prepared directly on our serving platters and bowls in the oven and then brought to the table.
HOW WE PRODUCE
Our crockery is made with love and care in a small family business where tradition and quality have been lived for generations. Careful processing and strict controls guarantee you consistently outstanding quality.
Our bathroom textiles combine nostalgic flair with timeless elegance. The design, inspired by the decor of a traditional paddy wagon, is skilfully realised in fine jacquard weaving.
Each lantern is a handmade unique piece, intricately carved and finished. Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of traditional craftsmanship!
