My guests fall in love at first sight with this beautiful tableware with its organic shape and natural colours. It is extremely light yet very strong and even dishwasher and oven safe, says Tina, founder of Tinkalu.

Light as a feather and very strong, the porcelain is lovingly and traditionally handmade in a family business in Vietnam. Porcelain has been made there for 700 years and exported all over the world.

What makes Tinkalu tableware so special?

It is the intricate craftsmanship that makes Tinkalu tableware so unique compared to mass-produced goods. Each piece is lovingly crafted by hand, as the organic shape makes it impossible to use machines. The glazed interior contrasts with the matte exterior. The striking shape and soft colours create a trendy, casual look. Despite the light and thin quality, the tableware is very durable and dishwasher and oven safe.

How do I put together the ideal set of tableware?

We have already put together some sets for you, such as the breakfast set or the dinner set. You can always mix and match all the pieces in our collection. Different sizes and colours of plates, cups and bowls can be decorated and used over and over again. Place a tea light in the espresso cup and use the large serving plate as a gratin dish or as a design object on the console in the dining room, just as you like.

Can the Tinkalu tableware be washed in the dishwasher?

A definite YES! Of course the tableware is dishwasher safe and suitable for everyday use. The porcelain is fully coloured and fired at a very high temperature.

Can the dishes be used in the oven?

Unbelievable but true, our china can be used for baking and cooking. We bake cupcakes and muffins directly in the cups and mugs, and use the large platter for lasagne, casseroles or vegetables au gratin. The large serving platter also looks cool for aperitifs, with different cups and bowls for dips and vegetable sticks as a dip set.

Is porcelain the best tableware material?

Porcelain tableware is very popular. It is a precious material that can withstand everyday wear and tear and is dishwasher safe. Porcelain is suitable for microwave and oven use. A complete dinner service consists of a dinner and dessert plate, a cereal/soup bowl, a yoghurt/dessert bowl, a large coffee cup and a saucer. The cereal bowls double as soup and salad bowls and the saucer is the perfect bread plate. The large cup is great for desserts or dips. There are no limits to your imagination.

How much tableware do you need?

You can create a personalised service with different pieces or buy a complete set. In most cases we are talking about tableware for 6 to 12 people. Because our china has a matching design, the table setting looks particularly harmonious. Choose special sets such as coffee/tea sets for afternoon tea and breakfast, or dinner sets for any occasion. Plates and bowls for serving and table accessories can be combined individually.

Our tip:
