Tinkalu Porcelain - When East meets West
Our Tinkalu porcelain has been lovingly designed, is surprisingly thin, and is traditionally made in a family business in Northern Vietnam. In the small village of Ba Trang, porcelain and ceramic molds have been made since the 15th century and are nowadays exported all over the world from there.
The craftsmanship used in the north of Vietnam is still very natural compared to mass-produced goods. Each piece of is processed by hand and usual machines are only used to a limited level, this is also why we can proudly can speak of "handmade".
With the glazed inside and the original, matte exterior in soft colors, it creates a trendy yet casual look in your home. It is striking by its shape, but not too dominant and is still light and thin, but very resistant and dishwasher, microwaves and oven suitable.
We love the ability to mix and match our pieces by selecting different sizes of plates, cups and bowls and decorating them side by side over and over and over again.
Each element can be used in different ways, the espresso cup as a tealight holder and the large serving bowl as a design object on the console in your dining room or in your hallway - just the way you want it.
Unbelievable but true: Our porcelain pieces can also be used for baking and cooking. We bake cupcakes, casseroles and muffins directly in the cups and use the large plate for lasagna or baked vegetables.
Our Tinkalu dishes are perfect for everyday use and we want them to shine not only on special occasions ... but on the table every day.
